After years of work and research, I am happy to announce the beginning of a new project! Fiberguys: Male Fiber Artists in America!
You'll find the paper I wrote summarizing the over 1,000 survey responses gathered in 2009 HERE. The result of the project was a strengthened desire to learn more about the guys I had met while conducting research.
This series of profiles will showcase different guys across the United States who knit, crochet, spin, weave, and work in the fiber arts community. Through a series of interviews, we will discover more about the lives of these amazing individuals.
First in the series is the profile of Aaron Bush, a New York knitter, spinner, weaver and all-around fiber artist. Read his profile HERE and find out how he started his obsession, what he does for fun, and how he has combined his love of fiber with his passion for helping Italian Greyhounds in need.
If you or someone you know would be a good man to profile in the series, fill out the SIGNUP form.
